kids bike February 11, 2010 Great Outdoors My daughter has used this bike for one season now, and it is not bad. The build quality could be better and I believe there are better choices out there for the price of this bike. The brake system is something to be desired. It is very poor. The cable adjustments are not good. I think this bike would earn better scores if it was priced in the[...]range. I have seen other styles since buying this one, and much less money, with better parts [i.e. the brake system]. Just my two cents worth. I had no problem putting the bike together, and no parts came damaged. I went the extra mile to take the hub assemblies apart to properly grease them and set them, as well as the crank system.
Awesome bike for girls easy on/off and very sturdy December 13, 2009 N. Kofira (Chicago, IL) I shopped around a lot before deciding on this bike. I wanted a bike that would last and with the mag wheels, this bike is the one. I highly recommend this for anyone considering a barbie type. The quality is much better on this one than those.
what a disappointment September 10, 2009 Kimberly Moore Limrick (Biloxi Mississippi) I bought this bike for my daughter's 7th birthday. She's been riding bikes for several years and has no problem with 2-wheeled bikes. However, she attempted to ride this one several times, each time falling off because pedals stick causing her to lose her balance. Now it will sit in our garage unusable until we can get someone to try to fix it. I wish I could return it.
This may very well have only been an isolated failure off the assembly line but I'm very upset that my daughter was stuck with it and my gift to her was a disappointment.
Love the bike! June 9, 2009 Kevin England (Indianapolis, IN) I bought this bike for the looks of the rims but my daughter really likes it. The quality is very good and I have long thought that Mongoose makes the best bikes for the money. You will not be disappointed with this bike!
Very Happy with Bike January 10, 2009 S. Schroers 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this bike for my 4 yr old daughter. I picked this bike, having never seen it, after reading a review by consumer reports, which suggested this bike. I am very happy with it. The bike was easy to assemble, works perfectly, and fits my daughter wonderfully. The only downside is that the bike is very heavy making it harder to get in and out of the car.
